Preparing for Exams
Exams have a fixed start and end time, but our courses allow you the flexibility to complete the exam anytime within the window (one week for a standard 14-week course). However, once you begin an exam it must be completed in one 2-hour long session. You will only have one attempt on each exam—they cannot be repeated.
You can find your course's exam schedule in your Course Toolkit—or at the top of your course's home page. In your Course Toolkit, you will find information about the number of exams your course will include and the material that will be covered for each.
Exams are comprised of multiple-choice questions; they do not have essay or short answer questions.
Each exam contributes a significant percentage of your final grade—please prepare accordingly!
Whenever you begin an exam, you will use our proctoring partner, Proctorio. You will not need any credentials to log into Proctorio. If you need assistance during an exam, you can chat with Proctorio Support by clicking on the Proctorio browser extension icon.
Students will be required to complete a setup and verification process before they will be allowed to begin an exam.
