We are very proud to partner with the University of Pittsburgh. In the event that its credits will not transfer to your degree program, we offer students an additional option to seek credit for Outlier courses through the American Council on Education (ACE). Thousands of colleges across the nation consider ACE credit recommendations in determining transfer course equivalencies to their institutions.
ACE has evaluated and recommended the following Outlier courses for credit:
- Fundamentals of Calculus - Traditional (4 credits)
- Introduction to Astronomy (4 credits)
- Introduction to Psychology (3 credits)
- Introduction to Statistics (3 credits)
If you plan to take one of the courses listed above, please inform your institution that you can obtain academic credits and an official transcript issued by ACE once you receive a final grade of 70% or higher.
If your institution does not accept ACE credit recommendations, we're here to help with navigating approval discussions with your institution! We’ve had success rebutting an initial decision not to accept the credits by communicating directly with the approving party and addressing underlying questions or concerns.
We recommend emailing email@example.com with an explanation of your institution's initial determination, as well as a contact address for us to coordinate with the department as early as possible.
